Many kids opt to purchase hats as well, but it's not necessary. Uniform requirements for new Scouts include the blue uniform shirt (most kids opt for the short sleeve size medium), a blue webbed belt, and a neckerchief, slide and book for your appropriate den (for example, a 2nd grader would need the blue shirt, belt, and a Wolf neckerchief/slide/book).The shirt and belt will hold patches and loops your child earns each year, the following years you will only need to buy the neckerchief/slide/book for your child's new den. Uniforms and handbooks are available locally at the Hoosier Trails Council building east of Bloomington on the way to Nashville. Your annual fee is just $75 and includes admission to all Pack activities, such as skiing, tubing, Indian's baseball game, Holiday World trip, rock climbing, camping, and more!
